What is Aging?


It is a complex and progressive process which leads to functional and aesthetic changes in the skin. This process could result from both intrinsic as well as extrinsic factors.
We all concern about anti-aging as early as we are 30s, however we can only slow down the aging process but not to stop it.
In fact, different parts of the body have its rate of aging which will be reflected in wrinkles, age spots and diseases.
There are different theories of aging, they include programmed aging, accidental aging, mitochondrial dysfunction, telomeres and aging mechanisms. Neither can we change our DNA, nor the deterioration rate of the structures and functions of our cells. Thus understanding the aging mechanisms will become vital for identifying ways to delay the aging process. And that is the only part we can have certain influences over the development rate of the aging tissues through our everyday life by health and skincare maintenances.
